The project
Containing primary, secondary, and special academies on-site, Leigh Academies Trust is responsible for keeping more than 20,000 students and personnel safe from fire in addition to delivering their mission of “education for a better world”.
Leigh Academies Trust were seeking to standardise their approach to fire safety and Fire Risk Assessments to make the process consistent and efficient.
Our solution
The FCS Cloud system and process for conducting Fire Risk Assessments was proven a fit following a pilot scheme which consisted of several assessments and outcome reviews.
The tablet-based assessment supported with the cloud-based software met Leigh Academies Trust’s ambitions to achieve greater visibility and management across the estate.
The result
The initial pilot scheme demonstrated how consistency can be easily achieved through the Fire Risk Assessment process, along with how all fire safety data can be stored safely in FCS Cloud.
Both solutions combined supported Leigh Academies Trust’s way for working including accessibility, reporting and day to day management. As a result, FCS-live continued to complete most of the academies Fire Risk Assessments to develop a consistent base line of fire safety now and into the future.
We were impressed by the format, clarity, specific detail and ease of use of the FRA as well as the online monitoring capability.
